Our tap water is pure spring water to the highest drinking water standards. All the cabins have lake views and have been hand-made by Seppo. They have been upgraded in 1994, 2006 and again in 2021.

Extras
We provide firewood and do not charge extra for it, however, please read the fireplace instructions carefully before lighting a fire.
To keep the cabin prices down, we have given our guests the option of bringing their own sheets and towels. It is also customary in Scandinavia, and considered polite, to clean your cabin before leaving. So, cleaning equipment is provided, but if you don't want to clean your cabin, an additional cleaning fee of 75€ is payable before checking out. We always check the cabins on the day of departure.

In Finland, our sauna culture is an important part of our heritage. It is where we go for a thorough wash and to relax. The cabins only have a limited amount of hot water, but sufficient for a quick shower.
We have two saunas on site that can be hired for private use:
* Puolukka sauna: 20€/adult/50 mins, 10€/child, including towels, winter swimming and soft drinks
* Mustikka sauna: 60€/adult/90 mins, including towels, winter swimming and soft drinks - both are bookable online here
We also hire winter overalls and boots: 10€/person/day
Food
Guests staying in our cabins can reserve meals in our café and restaurant in advance to secure better prices and availability :)

However, if you'd like to cook yourselves, the cabins have a basic kitchenette, so it's also possible to prepare your own simple meals. All the cabins have a fridge and a stove top, two pots and a frying pan, a microwave oven, a toaster, a kettle and a drip coffee percolator for filter coffee. Basic cooking utencils and tableware including cutlery, bowls, plates, cups and glasses, are also provided. The tap water is pure, fresh and extremely clean drinking water, from a natural spring in the village, so it's not necessary to by bottled water.
There are no supermarkets nearby, the nearest one is 60km away in Rovaniemi, called K-Citymarket. However, there is a small shop and fuel/gas station 35 km away in Vikajärvi, around half way between Rovaniemi and us. And there is also a small kiosk, bar and fuel/gas station 8 km to the north at Käyrämö.

Good to know
Please remember that the cabins are small and cosy, and situated in a remote area. They don't have room for large suitcases, so it's best to travel light. Your own pets are not allowed in the cabins. Cabin bookings should be made in advance here and payments are taken once the free cancellation period finishes. Our availability opens in January for the following winter.
We have free 5G internet data coverage and a limited wifi range, so please check your mobile data settings before departure.
If you are interested in doing one of our husky tours, it's a good idea to book early, as we only have a few places on each tour and they fill up very quickly. Skis, snowshoes, toboggans, ice-skates and ice fishing equipment are free for our guests to use on site and in our forest, but they can't be taken with you on day trips elsewhere.
We accept all major credit cards on-site except American Express and Diners Club.
